I prefer this one, too. The lines are far more interesting, and we can to notice those lines 'cos you toned down the color.
The way they're both staring at the viewer... I get this sense of quivering violins underneath a narration... "Will the Defenseless Damsel be crushed beneath a train?! Will Herbert Hero show up at the last minute and save her?! Will Sniveling Snievel take them both out to dinner?! ...Stay tuned, right after these commercials!"
I've been a graphic designer, photographer, cartoonist, sold mortgages, answered telephones in a call centre and I'm currently working in Internal Communications for a multi-national utilities company. But I like drawing cartoons.
